Creating Resilient Workplaces

Why Workplace Resilience is more than helping your staff

The Research

2020 changed everything, and we are still finding a way forward. In uncertain times, it has never been more important time to be focused on the wellbeing of your staff. Duty of care can seem overwhelming, when everyone, from the top down has experienced the stress of 2020, with the real impact unfolding in real time, and with no full clarity on what lies ahead.

Resilience became a buzzword last year, but the research suggests that it is now a must. The potential benefits to providing resilience training in the workplace speak for themselves, with improvements for staff that include:

  • better mental health
  • reduced risk of burnout and absenteeism, with organisations saving money and reducing emotional and financial hardship for their families
  • greater ability to stay solution focused
  • better decision making
  • higher levels of work engagement
  • openness to ongoing learning and skill development
  • team connectedness and cohesion, and many more.

Maria has delivered and developed Workplace training whilst working at Lifeline. She has facilitated groups, and engaged with communities around Australia and across diverse cultures. Her Workplace Resilience in Practice training workshops engages your workplace from the bottom up, and from the top down, aligning everyone’s personal life goals with the workplace vision and goals. This is what makes it unique to other workplace training programs.

The aim is to assist staff to recognise and understand their stress and develop the belief and the skills to get through tough times and thrive. Other benefits include growing their confidence and self-worth, with the outcome of happier staff in workplace.

What makes this training unique from other resilience training is Workshop 3.
